John 21:1-25
21 After this things, Jesus appear again to the disciples for the Sea of Ti·beʹri·as. Na like this e take appear to them.
2 Simon Peter, Thomas (wey them de call the Twin), Na·thanʹa·el wey come from Caʹna wey dey Galʹi·lee, the sons of Zebʹe·dee, and two other of im disciples be dey together.
3 Simon Peter come tell them say: “I de go catch fish.” Then them tell-am say: “We go follow you.” Them come comot and enter boat, but for that night, them no catch any fish.
4 But as day just de break, Jesus come stand for the waterside, but the disciples no know say na Jesus.
5 Jesus come ask them say: “My children, una get anything* wey una go chop?” Them answer say: “No!”
6 E come tell them say: “Make una throw the net for the right side of the boat, una go catch some fish.” So them throw the net for there, but them no fit drag-am put inside the boat because the fish plenty well-well.
7 Then the disciple wey Jesus love tell Peter say: “Na the Lord!” As Simon Peter hear say na the Lord, e wear im cloth wey e de wear ontop, because e be dey naked,* e come jump enter the sea.
8 But the other disciples use the small boat come and them de drag the net wey fish full inside because them no far from land, na only about 300 feet* e take far from land.
9 When them reach dry land, them see charcoal fire with fish ontop and bread.
10 Jesus come tell them say: “Make una bring some of the fish wey una just catch now.”
11 So Simon Peter enter the boat and drag the net wey plenty big fish dey inside come out. Na 153 fish dey inside. But even as the fish plenty, the net no tear.
12 Jesus tell them say: “Make una come chop morning food.” No one among the disciples get the mind to ask-am say: “Who you be?” because all of them know say na the Lord.
13 Then Jesus go carry the bread give them and na so e still do with the fish.
14 This na the third time wey Jesus appear to the disciples after God don bring-am back to life.
15 When them don chop the morning food finish, Jesus come ask Simon Peter say: “Simon son of John, you love me pass this things?” E answer-am say: “Yes, Lord, you know say I get strong love for you.” E come tell-am say: “Feed my lambs.”
16 E come ask-am again the second time say: “Simon son of John, you love me?” E answer-am say: “Yes, Lord, you know say I get strong love for you.” E come tell-am say: “Take care of my small-small sheep.”
17 E come ask-am for the third time say: “Simon son of John, you get strong love for me?” Peter no come happy at all say e ask-am the third time say: “You get strong love for me?” So e tell-am say: “Lord, you know everything, you know say I get strong love for you.” Jesus come tell-am say: “Feed my small-small sheep.”
18 True-true, I de tell you say when you dey young, you de wear cloth by yourself and de waka go anywhere wey you want, but when you don old, you go stretch your hand and another person go wear you cloth and carry you go the place wey you no want go.”
19 E talk this one to show the kind way wey Peter go die to honor God. After e talk this one, e tell-am say: “Continue to follow me.”
20 Then Peter turn and see say the disciple wey Jesus love de follow them, the one wey be put body for Jesus chest when them de chop for evening and ask-am say: “Lord, who be the person wey go sell you give your enemies?”
21 So as Peter see-am, e ask Jesus say: “Lord, what of this man?”
22 Jesus come tell-am say: “If I want make e dey until I come, how e take concern you? You, just continue to follow me.”
23 So them come de talk this thing among the brothers say, this disciple no go die. But Jesus no tell-am say e no go die, wetin e talk be say: “If I want make e dey until I come, how e take concern you?”
24 Na this disciple be the person wey de talk about this things and na im write this things and we know say the things wey e de talk na true.
25 The truth be say e still get plenty other things wey Jesus do wey e be say if them ever write all of them complete as them take happen, I believe say the world no go get enough space wey go contain the scrolls wey them write them put.
