Psalm 1:1-6

1  Happy the man who has not gone by wrong-doers’ policy nor stood in sinners’ road nor sat in cynics’ session, 2  But finds pleasure in Jehovah’s instructions, and his instructions he studies day and night. 3  And he will be like a tree planted by channels of water that bears its fruit in season, and its leaves never fade, and in all he does he will succeed. 4  Not so wrong-doers; not so, but like chaff that a wind blows about. 5  Therefore wrong-doers will not stand in judgment nor sinners in a congregation of honest men, 6  For Jehovah knows honest men’s courses, but wrong-doers’ courses will be lost.
